Week 12 (04/07/2021) â€‹â€‹

This week, I've made the adjustments to my infographic and have completed the final outcome. The next step right now is to complete the written component part (700 words).

Part B -Planning

We were told to think of a concept for Part B of this project. I've thought of making a habit tracker. A habit tracker can relate to Part A: "Loneliness & Lockdown", in a sense that the survey handed out to people includes information that has people's habits and/or moods during the duration of lockdown. The idea of this is to keep track on what are your on going habits while you've been home all day. It can be good or bad habits. The tracker serves to help users to possibly improve whatever habits they've been wanting to improve or even get rid of the bad habits.

Instead of having it in a typical book form, I'm still thinking of whether to have it in the form of a calendar or mirror. The reason for making it as a calendar would be due to the fact that calendars act as something people would look at almost every now and then. The way a calendar stands also allows the user easier access to their tracker as they can look at the tracker as a reminder with ease. They can also not bother always flipping open a book to jot down notes and keep track of their habits or whatever they want. Other than habits, users could also jot down goals for the day and maybe even their bucket list too!

The reason for the mirror would be that mirrors are something people often use to look at themselves. People would look in the mirror first thing in the morning; when they wake up, before they go out, before getting off their car, when they shower, etc. So in a sense, you could say that people look in a mirror basically at the start and end of the day. Other than checking out your looks, mirrors also act as something people use to hype themselves up, see what they can improve in themselves, or something along the lines.

My first thought for this was having a habit tracker with a mirror beside it. The second idea for this would be having the base be a literal mirror itself. A part of the mirror could have a sticker grid or pattern sort of thing that acts as the tracking part. So basically its like a blackboard but instead of a solid base and chalk, the base id a mirror with grid line stickers and markers can be used to jot down whatever the user desires.
