Activity -Week 4 (09/05/2021)

Tracking Activity: -Mood Tracking

For this activity I decided to track my mood for a week. I decided to use flowers to act as the different type of mood I'm in. The reason for using flowers is because flowers can be sort of like a symbol for moods and emotions. So it's sort of like how certain flowers have certain meanings

to it.

What went well?

For the whole week that I needed to record down my mood, what I thought went well was actually how I managed to remember to track and jot down my mood no matter how I'm feeling. I thought that that's what went well cause at first I was actually worried I'll totally forget about this after a day or two cause I'm starting to get real forgetful now that we've been stuck at home. Well actually, there are certain times I do forget to write down my mood but it was only 1 or 2 times and I actually remember what my mood was at that time haha.

What did not go so well?

The one thing that did not go so well is that I felt that almost 50% of the day I'm not even awake yet, and with that, it means I couldn't get more data as all I have left is like half the day worth of mood tracking... Well I guess I have to work harder on fixing this habit of sleeping for that long..

On another note, I also did not expect the making of this data tracking to be complicated. Before making the final thing I always see it and thought that it was easy but apparently it requires you to put more effort in it.

Another thing that did not go well was the colors. When I wanted to count the number of each color, I realized there were a few colors that looked too similar to each other, making it hard to tell apart. So that took me a while to figure out.. In this activity, I used colored pencils so if ever I were to use colors to color code data, I would rather use colored pens, markers or highlighters as those materials would most likely give a more clear color, and also easy to work with too.

How to read the data?

I tried to make it simple for this activity so that I won't confuse anyone and myself.. Anyways, I decided to make this sort of graph to track my mood. Before making this, I remembered I wanted to use flowers as some sort of symbol so for the marking/data in the graph and so I did.

The colors of each flowers represents the mood I had on that time and day. To know what mood the colors represent, I put the "Legend" at the bottom left of the graph to showcase the meaning of each flower colors. The red numbers beside shows the amount of times I felt that mood during that week.

The y-axis (left) of the graph tells the day and date (starting from Tuesday, ending on Monday), while the x-axis (bottom) of the graph tells the time using the 24 hour clock/system. Below that shows "A.M." and "P.M." just so that I don't get confused myself.. Cause I'm not used to the 24 hour system but wanted to try it out anyways:))
