Embroidery Workshop

Embroidery Workshop (23/09/2021)

This week we had an embroidery workshop. We were told to buy an embroidery set for this workshop. The set included all the things we needed for embroidery, sort of like a beginner package. The cloth that came with it had the design printed on it already in blue ink to help make things easier.

I actually find it quite addictive while I was doing the embroidery and found it quite interesting to learn the different methods and names of different stiches and styles. Though I thought it was kind of fun and addictive, at the same time it was getting annoying when I was making the 'French knot' as it is required to spin the thread around the needle before making another hole with the needle. It was such a small stitch that was also required to fill up a big space. All in all, I would say this was quite the fun experience.

Currently, I'm still not done with the embroidery. In my opinion, I found the 'Fishbone stitch' to be my favorite stitch to make. That stitch was used for the leaves and I really liked the way that stitch looked. The one I found to be annoying to stitch were the 'French knot' and Lazy Daisy'. The reason for that being that one is time consuming, while the other.. truthfully, I'm not even sure if I did the stitch correctly or not..:')
